Phoebe McDonald is a Brisbane-based artist. Her work is centred on concepts of interconnectedness and impermanence, and she has an ongoing interest in the nature of light, time, space and perception. She is also interested in the subtle changes and cyclic events that occur in the natural environment over time.

Phoebe has a Bachelor of Photography with First Class honours from Queensland College of Art, and in 2008 she was awarded the Artworkers Alliance award for graduating student. In 2010 she was the recipient of an Australia Council for the Arts grant and a finalist in the Churchie National Emerging Art Award, the Clayton Utz LAUNCH award and the Toowoomba Biennial Emerging Artists Award.

Phoebe's work has been shown in exhibitions at Spiro|Grace Art Rooms, Ryan Renshaw Gallery, Queensland Centre for Photography, the Dell Gallery at Queensland College of Art, Brisbane Square Library and the Museum of Brisbane. Her work also featured in the Third Queensland Festival of Photography and the Hot New Things touring exhibition as part of Vivid National Photography Festival.
